Different types of cranes at Headland

Cranes that are mostly used in the construction are the temporary structures and that can be either mounted on the vehicle or can be fixed on the ground. The operator is controlling the crane inside the cab which is moving with the crane. This movement is done with the radio controls or by the control station making use of the push button pendant.
Below 7 types of cranes are given which mostly depend on the project, objective and the environment. To know more about cranes and their types visit https://www.headland.com.au/.

1.      Telescopic crane : Telescopic cranes are offering the boom with the help of a number of tubes which are fitted inside each other. Then hydraulic mechanisms are extending or retracting the tubes to shorten or lengthen the boom.
2.      Mobile cranes : This is the basic type of crane consisting of steel truss or the telescopic boom which are mounted on a kind of mobile platform. This platform is rail, wheeled or the cat truck. The boom is hinged in the bottom and then it is lowered or raised by making use of cables.
3.      Truck mounted crane: tyrese cranes are mounted on a truck with rubber tyres for excellent mobility. The outriggers can be extended horizontally or vertically that can level and stabilise the crane.
4.      Tower crane: it is a modernised version of balance crane. It gives the best lifting capabilities and height and is widely used in the construction of tall buildings.
5.      Rough terrain crane: this type of crane is mounted on a four rubber tiered undercarriage and is meant to be used off the road. These cranes have a single engine which means that only one engine is used to power the crane as well as undercarriage.
6.      Overhead crane: these cranes are popularly known as suspended cranes. They are mostly used in factories and can lift heavy load too. The host of this crane is kept on a trolley which can move in a single direction along one or two beams. It can move at angles to the ground level or elevated tracks.
7.      Loader crane: this crane is powered hydraulically and has an associated arm fitted to a trailer. As its name suggests it is used to put load equipment on the trailer. It can be folded in several sections and can fit into small spaces for storage and also transported easily.
