Christmas is celebrated every year on 25th December as the birthday of Jesus Christ. It is a sacred day celebrated worldwide. The accurate day of Jesus Christ’s birthday is not known, but in 221 AD a Christian historian declared 25th December as the birth date of Jesus. This day is reckoned by the Romans as the day of the Resurgence of the Sun. 25th December is also commemorated as the beginning of the winter solstice, according to Pagan traditions. Christ’s birth date emanated from Rome and spread across all the churches worldwide.

Christmas is celebrated worldwide. Everybody celebrates Christmas in their traditional way. The birthday of Jesus brings a glimmer to the world. The churches are adorned peacefully and beautifully. Being the reason for their prosperity, many schools hold a function on Christmas Eve and bring Santa Claus for the entertainment of their children.

CHRISTMAS AROUND THE WORLD

Christianity is widespread in the whole world. The festival of Christmas is celebrated in other countries as well. Although Christians don’t have a large community in all the countries, other people irrespective of their religions celebrate this festival as a cultural holiday. Ample countries declare a holiday on this auspicious day.

People celebrate this carnival in a united traditional way. There is no boundary among people. People belonging to all the religions celebrate this festival whole-heartedly. In India, people of all religions are found. Being the most eclectic country, Indians have a special place for Christmas. Adorning trees, spending nights in church, and admiring this day is a traditional and cultural way of celebrating Christmas for all the Indians. Christmas cakes are cut and circulated to places nearby. People exchange gifts as a token of love. Christmas is a festival full of love and affection.
